Australian Baroque Sonatas Project
The Australian Baroque Sonatas Project commissions and promotes sonatas for period instruments written by Australian composers. Inspired by the music of 17th and 18th centuries, the sonatas are not written in imitation of the 'baroque style' but aim to find a new voice for old instruments within the Australian musical landscape. The first three commissions have been from the Sydney-based composer, Alice Chance.
